Legacy Gift

Charitable gifts can be significantly delayed when estates become stalled due to absent, resigned, unwilling, or incapable Executors. For charitable organizations that are unable to act as their own Executor or Administrator,
Everest Advisory can apply to the court for appointment as estate Administrator — stepping in to identify, unlock, and facilitate distributions that might otherwise remain out of reach.
Every stalled estate represents more than a delayed file. It represents a donor's final act of generosity — a gift they carefully planned, often over a lifetime — sitting unrealized while the causes they believed in wait.
That is why in 2026, Everest Advisory has made a firm commitment: to unlock a minimum of $1,000,000 in stalled estate assets for charitable organizations across Canada.
We believe donors deserve to have their wishes honoured. We believe charities deserve to receive what was intended for them. And we believe that with the right expertise and the willingness to step in, much of what is currently out of reach does not have to stay that way.
What we will do:
-
Acting as estate Administrator where court appointment is required;
-
For Donors: tax saving gifts, GRE, gift in kind, pre-planning;
-
Supporting matters involving absent, resigned, unwilling, or incapable Executors;
-
Facilitating the administration and distribution of charitable gifts; and
-
Assisting charities with estate complexities — including engaging with unwilling Executors, working with co-beneficiaries, and pursuing charitable entitlements.
